Which prices do I see?
Three, side by side. US: TCGplayer's market price, in dollars. Europe: Cardmarket's trend price, in euros. NL: what a Near Mint English copy really costs a collector in the Netherlands today. Your binder total uses the NL price first, then Europe, then US. Reverse holos, Poké Ball patterns and 1st Editions are priced as themselves.
How is the NL price measured?
It's the cheapest listing on Cardmarket right now for that card in English, Near Mint or better, from a seller close by: one based in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany. We check every card worth €1 or more; below that it's bulk, and we show the European trend instead, labelled as such.
Why not just use Cardmarket's trend?
Because it isn't a price you can pay. It's an average over every copy of a card — played ones, other languages, sellers all over Europe. Of the 6,425 cards we've compared so far, the NL price was higher on 3,405 and lower on 3,002.
How often do prices update?
European and US prices refresh every night. NL prices are checked on a rolling schedule, most valuable cards first, and cards people look at are re-checked sooner. Every card page shows when each price was checked, and keeps its full history.
Is it free?
Yes. ShinyHits is in open beta and free while we build it — every tool on this page included, and scanning is unlimited. Signing up takes an email address and a password, no card details.
Is there an app?
Native apps for iPhone and Android are in development — see the roadmap. Until then, install the web app: on your phone choose "Add to Home Screen" and it opens full-screen, with push alerts, and works offline at a card show. On a computer, the browser extension shows your prices right on Cardmarket, TCGplayer and eBay. The apps will use the same account.
What about Japanese cards?
Not yet. During the beta ShinyHits covers English cards only, so every price on the site is for the English printing. Japanese cards come back after the beta — they're on the roadmap for Q2 2027.
Who can see my collection?
Only you, until you share something. Profiles, showcases, trade binders and shared folders show only what you put in them. Wrapped, reports and passports reach others only through a link you make — and can take back. Standing bids stay anonymous until the owner answers. Leaderboards list public collectors only, and you can opt out. Back up, export or delete everything at any time.
Can I bring my collection from another app?
Yes. There's a step-by-step guide for Collectr, TCGplayer, Cardmarket, PriceCharting and Dex, and any spreadsheet works: map its columns, check the matches, import. Your Cardmarket, TCGplayer and eBay orders come in with what you paid. Export or back up everything in one click, any time.
Can I sell at a card show with it?
Yes. Vendor table mode prices your stock from your rules, prints QR labels, checks out each sale and adds up the show's profit after the table fee. Show mode keeps instant prices with you, even when the hall has no signal.
